HOLY SEX: Sex at its best

I was kissing my husband and at the same time I was praying. Maybe you are wondering why I was praying huh? Actually, it was our honey moon (in my own room, also the same room where I was born), our first night as husband and wife. He was looking in my eyes and me looking at his. He hugged me tight and kissed my lips.

It was never in my mind to pray. But I can’t stop my mind and heart from doing so. I was thanking the Lord for giving his blessing so that my husband and I can enjoy the gift of making love. Yes, Sex is a gift from the Lord to married couples.

You know why I say that it is a gift from God? Not just because it is written in the Bible, but because I have experienced the difference between the unholy and holy sex.

I was at a very young age when I was enticed by the devil to “try” sex; deceiving me to the idea that giving your body to your partner is one of the ways to show that you are deeply in love with him. My boyfriend (my husband now, thank God!) and I indulged to the pleasure of sex. Like anybody else we do reach orgasm and of course we enjoyed every bit of it. We thought we are in love!

After reaching orgasm, the climax of the unholy sex, after the fast paced beat of our hearts subsided, we felt empty. Not just empty, but we are ashamed of ourselves. Ashamed not with each other, but we are ashamed of God. The pleasure was only temporary.

After years of being deceived by the devil, I got pregnant (here's the story), but God loves me so much that He made a way to introduce himself in my life. We accepted Jesus, we asked for forgiveness and it was given.

Six months after I gave birth, we got married. And on that night of January 3, 2012 we accepted one of our precious gifts from God. The Holy Sex: Sex at its best!

My husband looked me in the eye; caressed my hair, kissed my forehead, my cheek, my nose and then my lips. I closed my eyes as I pray:

Dear Lord,
I don’t deserve anything that you have given me. Thank you for your love and your grace. Thank you for blessing our relationship as we receive the matrimony of marriage. Thank you for giving us this chance to kiss, to touch each other and to have sex without feeling any guilt. Thank you Lord for this precious gift.

Tears of joy flowed in my eyes and I can't stop myself thanking God. Then I opened my eyes, looked my husband in the eyes, I kissed his lips and we enjoyed the rest of the night. It was the best night ever! Believe me, everything is worthwhile.

Sex is immoral when done outside of marriage, you’ll feel guilty and discontented of the pleasure that it gives. But when it is done under the matrimony of marriage, it is Holy and you’ll enjoy it at its best!
